Dream it, believe it and achieve it. Indian School Al Maabela always believes in going the extra mile to provide and ensure quality services to the community. After being the pioneers in providing safe school transport, now the school has added a feather to its cap by becoming the first Indian school to be certified with ISO 9001:2015, among the nineteen Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman. ISO 9001:2015 is  the most widely recognized standard in the world. It sets out requirements for quality management systems. By undertaking this certification process the school has committed itself not only to provide quality education as well as to check whether the expectations of the stakeholders are being met or not, on a regular basis.


It was indeed a moment of pride and joy when the school authorities received the ISO 9001:2015  ceritificate from Bureau Veritas, in an official function held at school premises on Wednesday, 31st May 2017.Mr.Wilson V George, Chairman, Board of Directors, Sultanate of Oman was the chief guest for the occasion. Among the other dignitaries present were the Guests of Honour, Mr. Prabhakar Vithalrao Tijare,     Mr. Baby Sam Samuel, Director Incharge, Mr.Mathew Abraham, Education Advisor, Mr.Alex, Asst.Education Advisor, Mr.Kurian E Chandrathil, President, School Management Committee, other SMC members, Mr.Twinkle Chackola, Manager Marketing and Sales, Bureau Veritas, Mr.John D’ Rozario, Certification Manager, Mr.Praveen Khapre,Auditor, Mr.Prasanth Nair, ISO Consultant.


The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest followed by a prayer song. In the welcome address, the SMC President spoke about the various challenges faced by the institution in achieving the goal. It was followed by a presentation on the journey towards the certification.


Mr.Twinkle Chackola handed over the certificate to Mr.Kurian E Chandrathil and thus the school has been officially declared to be ISO certified institution. Mr.Wilson V George in his address emphasized that receiving the certificate is not the end of the journey, but the beginning. He said that the success of this project lies in enhancing the customer satisfaction. Mr.Prabhakar V Tijare stated that quality management is nothing but complying with the standards set by us for ourselves. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Baby Sam Samuel conveyed that it’s just a beginning and the school should always strive hard to maintain the standard.


The school choir group enthralled the audience with two melodious songs. The function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Principal, Mr.P.Prabakaran.
